What products do fretlook sell?

In the fretlook online shop you will find a large selection of stickers, divided into the categories Fret Markers, Side Markers, Signature Designs, and Body Decals. Besides these products we offer you a range of high quality Accessories for your guitar and the opportunity to customize your designs through our Custom Shop.

What are Fret Markers?

Fret Markers are adhesive inlay stickers designed to be applied directly onto the fretboard. They visually replace or enhance traditional inlays without any permanent modification. They are thin, durable, and do not affect playability or feel. Fret Markers are ideal for adding a new look or improving fret visibility while keeping your instrument fully reversible. What are Side Markers?

Side Markers are stickers applied to the side of the guitar or bass neck, helping you see your position while playing. Many of them feature glow-in-the-dark materials for improved visibility on dark stages or rehearsal rooms. They are subtle, easy to apply, and designed to assist orientation without changing the overall look of your instrument.

What are Body Decals?

Body Decals include decorative stripes and protective elements designed for the guitar body. They add visual character while also helping protect high-wear areas from scratches and pick marks. Body Decals are easy to apply and remove, offering a non-permanent way to customize your instrument’s appearance while keeping the original finish intact.

Is there any recommendations on which Fret Markers look best with my guitar?

Yes. We offer curated recommendations for electric guitars, acoustic guitars, and basses. These selections are based on common neck dimensions, fret spacing, and visual balance. While many designs work across different instruments, our recommendations help you find options that typically fit and look best on your specific guitar type.

Will the products fit my guitar?

Our products are designed to fit a wide range of instruments. Fret Markers are made for standard guitars with scale lengths from 628 mm to 648 mm (24.75” to 25.5”). They also fit many bass guitars with longer scale lengths. Side Markers and Body Decals are largely universal, but for Body Protectors, it’s important to choose the version that matches your guitar type. How do I apply the stickers?

Applying our stickers is quick and easy with a bit of care. We offer three types: Fret Markers, Side Markers, and Body Decals. Fret Markers can be applied without removing the strings, while Side Markers and Body Decals are just as straightforward. For best results, please check our detailed How To guides.

How do I clean my guitar?

Keeping your guitar clean is important, whether you use Fret Markers, Side Markers, or Body Decals. Before applying any stickers, make sure the surface is free from dust, dirt, grease, and residue from cleaning products. A clean, dry surface ensures proper adhesion and best results. Regular basic care will also help keep your instrument looking and feeling great over time.

Is it possible to place the inlay stickers on other stringed instruments?

Yes, many of our stickers can be applied to instruments beyond the ones listed on our site. If you have a non-standard instrument or are unsure which product will fit, please reach out to us via the contact form. We’re happy to help and provide advice to ensure you get the best results.

How do I remove the fretlook stickers from my guitar?

Removing any of our stickers - whether Fret Markers, Side Markers, or Body Decals - is quick and easy. Simply peel them off carefully, and they come away cleanly without leaving residue or damaging your instrument. No special tools are needed, and with a little patience, your guitar or bass will look just like it did before application.

Where are the stickers made?

All stickers are designed, manufactured, packed by fretlook. The entire manufacturing process takes place in Germany. We also attach great importance to the environment and social responsibility when selecting our materials, so we only work with selected and certified partners.

Are all fretlook wooden picks really handmade?

Oh yes! We work closely with a manufactory in the Italian Lombardy and together we select only the finest materials. Of course, only wood from sustainable cultivation can be used for our picks.

Shipping


Which countries do you ship to?

We ship our products worldwide. A list of all destinations, including shipping costs and delivery times can be found here.

Which partner do you ship with?

International orders are shipped worldwide with Deutsche Post with a tracking number. Shipping within Germany is done with DHL including a tracking number.

How long does the delivery take?

All articles marked as available will be shipped as soon as possible after receipt of order. Orders placed before 12 o’clock (12 p.m. CET / CEST) will be shipped the same working day. The shipping time of your order depends on the destination and can be viewed here.

What are the shipping costs?

We offer you cheap shipping worldwide. Depending on the country, shipping costs are not charged above a certain order value. You can find the worldwide shipping costs here.

The delivery driver didn't ring the door bell. What now?

First check your mailbox to see if the delivery person has left a message for you and possibly placed your orders with your neighbor, a parcel store or a post office in your area. If you cannot find a message in your mailbox, please let us know. We will immediately contact DHL or the executing shipping service provider and initiate an investigation. In this case, however, we have to ask you to be patient until we receive an appropriate response from the shipping service provider.

How can I contact you with questions?

Visiting this site is already the right approach. Use our contact form on our website or send us an e-mail to hello@fretlook.com. We will answer your request as soon as possible.

What payment options are available to me?

In our shop we offer you only known and secured payment methods, including PayPal, Klarna, direct debit or credit cards.

Do I need a customer account to order?

No. You can also order as a guest. Nevertheless, we would always recommend a customer account. In your customer account you can check the status of your order at any time and also have a look at your old orders if you want to reorder something. But the decision is entirely up to you.

How do I redeem my voucher?

There are two ways to redeem a fretlook gift voucher or discount code during the order process. In the shopping cart below the listing of the articles and still on the checkout page directly above the invoice details. Both possibilities cannot be ignored. Please note that an item must first be in the shopping cart before it can be entered.

How do I check the status of my order?

To check the status of your order, you have two options. Either take a look into your customer account. After you are logged in you can check the status of your order in the orders section. Alternatively, all you have to do is check your e-mails and look for the shipping confirmation. This contains all relevant shipment details including the tracking information. If you have further questions about the status of your order, we will help you at any time.

I have already ordered, but I would like to add something else. Is that possible?

It always depends on how far your order has already been processed. We always try to process and ship your order in the fastest possible way. If it has already been handed over to DHL, we can unfortunately no longer add items. If the handover has not yet taken place, we can still put something in the package. Remember, however, that we must unfortunately receive payment for this in advance. Just contact us and we will look at your order so that we can find a quick solution if the order has not yet been shipped.

Can I cancel my order?

To cancel your order, you just need to let us know. Feel free to use the contact form on the website or simply reply to the order confirmation e-mail you received from us after your order. If we have not yet shipped your order, the cancellation will be processed very quickly and we will refund the amount you paid within two business days in the same way you paid it to us. If we receive your cancellation after your order has been shipped, we ask you to refuse to accept the package. If this happens, it will automatically be returned to us and we can refund the amount you paid as soon as possible. If the package is accepted despite your cancellation (e.g. by a neighbor etc.) please let us know as soon as possible.

As a German customer we will send you a return label to return your order free of charge. International customers must return the package at their own expense. In this case we thank you for your assistance.

I want to return my order, how do I do that?

You have 14 days to return your order. Please inform us of your intent beforehand and hand over the goods to a postal service provider before the 14 days are up.

Can I rate my order?

Of course! For our customers, evaluations are a wonderful means of incorporating the experience of previous buyers into the decision-making process. For us as seller, they are also an honest and reliable feedback that always drives us forward, but also makes us think critically about our own performance. All reviews in our online store are 100% from real buyers, because only verified buyers are able to rate our products. To submit your review, you have to log in to your fretlook account and check the products form your orders. With a click your purchased product you can write your review.

How can I view and delete my stored data?

We give you insight into the data we have stored about you at any time. To view your stored data, just click here. At the click of a button you can also download a PDF file with a summary or delete all data.

Can I customize my privacy settings?

When you visit our website or online shop for the first time, our cookie banner appears at the bottom of the screen. This banner allows you to customize your privacy settings. But what to do if you have already clicked the banner away? This is of course no problem. Just look here.
